Mining Operations	Mining operations are carried out by Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd. Coal handling, preparation and train loading are carried out by Sedgman Limited. Mining and coal preparation activities are carried out 24 hours per day, seven days per week.   Blasting activities are carried out by Orica Limited.

History	Development from a greenfields prospect to a coal producing mine was completed in a twelve month timeframe. The mining lease was granted on 5 December 2002. Overburden removal commenced in December 2002.  First coal was mined in March 2003. The first coal train was loaded on 6 December 2003. Prior to this date, coal was trucked to the Coppabella Mine and railed from the Coppabella Mine, pending completion of the Moorvale Mine rail loop. Reached a cumulative total of 15Mt of ROM coal mined in October 2008. CHPP expanded from 450tph to 600tph in 2008. A new mining fleet valued at more than $90 million (100% basis) was commissioned in 2009.
