Contractors	• Mining operations are performed by Macarthur Coal Ltd. • The coal handling and preparation plant is operated and maintained by Sedgman Coppabella Joint Venture. • Mining and coal preparation activities are carried out 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

History	• The mining lease was granted on 1 June 1998. • Development from a greenfields prospect to a coal producing mine was completed in a twelve month timeframe. • Overburden removal commenced in July 1998. • First coal was mined in October 1998.
