Mining Operations	Mining operations are performed by Macarthur Coal (C&M Management) Pty Ltd. The coal handling and preparation plant is operated and maintained by Sedgman Coppabella Joint Venture. Mining and coal preparation activities are carried out 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Blasting activities are carried out by Orica Limited.
2009 production	2.4M product tonnes and 2.9M ROM tonnes
History	The mining lease was granted on 1 June 1998. Development from a greenfields prospect to a coal producing mine was completed in a twelve month timeframe. Overburden removal commenced in July 1998. First coal was mined in October 1998. Reached a cumulative total of 40Mt of run of mine (ROM) coal mined in April 2007. 100% transition to owner operator accomplished in June 2008
