Unfortunately, due to the large volume of requests received by Macarthur Coal, and the cut in the budget due to the GFC, the funds for set aside for the 2010 financial year have already been allocated.
At Macarthur Coal we believe our contribution to the community should extend beyond benefits flowing from the company’s role as both an employer and as a customer.
The company is committed to helping the communities within which it operates to develop and maintain sustainability in the long term. (Should you wish to apply to Macarthur Coal for a donation or sponsorship, please refer to the application process set out below.) The company has a Sponsorships and Donations Program through which we provide support to numerous community organisations and initiatives which align with Macarthur Coal’s fundamental values which are:
• safe workplace: targeting zero injuries • customer focus: acknowledging that customers are key to the Company’s success • responsible corporate citizenship: caring about the Company’s global footprint.
