Shane Stephan Chief Development Officer BBus (Dist), MBA (AGSM), MAusIMM, Certified Mine Manager Shane was appointed to this position in December 2007 having formerly held the position of Chief Financial Officer and, prior to that, Vice President – Strategy and Corporate Development. He is responsible for all commercial aspects of the business including treasury, finance and financial reporting. Shane has more than 19 years of coal mining industry experience including senior line management roles, experience as the District Inspector of Mines in Queensland and as a member of the Coal Industry Health and Safety Advisory Council in Queensland. Shane was also previously employed as an executive in the structured and corporate finance divisions of an international investment bank.
	Gary Lee Vice President – Marketing BAppSc (Hons) Gary was appointed in January 2004 and is responsible for the sales and marketing of all coal types from Coppabella and Moorvale mines. Gary has more than 29 years of coal industry experience in both technical and marketing roles. He has extensive experience in all of Australia’s major coal markets for both metallurgical and thermal coal.
	Ian McAleese Executive General Manager – Corporate Development Certificate in Geology, MAusIMM, GAICD Ian was appointed in April 2006 having previously been General Manager, Investor relations and Corporate Development. He is responsible for managing Macarthur Coal’s growth strategy, investor relations program and equity raisings. Previously trained as a geologist, Ian worked in a variety of countries and companies in both exploration and mine geology. He then moved into the financial sector where he gained over 20 years of experience in funds management and business analysis working firstly as a mining analyst and subsequently as a portfolio manager.
	Peter Kane Chief Operating Officer BE (Mining), MAusIMM, MMAA, Certified Mine Manager Peter was appointed to this position in February 2008 and is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Company's business. Peter has extensive experience in the mining industry in both iron ore and coal mining and has worked for such companies as BHP, Thiess and, most recently, Leighton Contractors.
	Michael Gray Executive General Manager - Projects BE (Civil), MBA   Michael was appointed to this position in August 2006 having previously held the position of Manager - Infrastructure. In his new role he is responsible for the development of new projects and the management of Macarthur Coal's long-term infrastructure requirements. Michael has over 15 years of experience in the planning and development of major mining, industrial and infrastructure projects in Queensland and has had extensive involvement in resource development, environmental management and native title issues.
	Lisa Dalton Company Secretary B App Sc, M App Sc, LLB (Hons), GAICD Lisa joined Macarthur Coal in May 2007 having formerly held the position of Company Secretary at Tarong Energy. Lisa provides support to the Board and its committees, facilitates compliance with the corporate governance framework and coordinates risk and compliance management at Macarthur Coal. Lisa began her career at Clayton Utz, has been corporate counsel and company secretary for an international biotechnology company and was Principal Legal Officer in the Corporate Governance and Business Services Unit at Crown Law.
	Stuart Hatton BCom, CAP, GAICD Chief Financial Officer Stuart was appointed to this position in August 2008 having previously held the position of CFO and General Manager Commercial Services at Aurora Energy in Tasmania. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the business including treasury, finance and financial reporting. Stuart also has extensive commercial and finance experience in other corporations including as CFO and General Manager Finance & Commercial at Tarong Energy.  He has also worked in the finance and commercial areas of BHP and Pasminco (now Nystar) and as an external auditor for KPMG.
	David Waddell General Manager - Senior SIte Executive, Moorvale Mine BE (Mining) Hons, MBA, MAusIMM, RPEQ, Certified First Class Mine Manager Dave was appointed to this position in September 2006 having previously been responsible for the Olive Downs feasibility project and is responsible for the safe and productive operation of Moorvale Mine and Olive Downs development. Dave is a qualified mining engineer and has had exposure to a range of commodities including iron ore, coal and gold across several operational and technical roles with Rio Tinto.
	Allan Fidock Executive General Manager - Open-cut Development and Technical Services, Acting General Manager, Coppabella Mine AssocDip Applied Science (Coalmining), MBus (Merit), MAusIMM, Certified Mine Manager   Allan was appointed to this position in March 2008 and is responsible for managing the preparation of Macarthur Coal's long-term strategic development plans, technical investigations and feasibility studies.  Allan is currently also acting as General Manager, Coppabella Mine.   Allan has extensive operational, technical and project development experience in open-cut coal mining having held senior management positions during the past 15 years with companies such as Hunter Valley Earthmoving, Thiess and Anglo Coal Australia.  Working in a number of owner and contract operational roles, Allan has gained experience in mine/project cost estimation and control, mine planning optimisation, client negotiations and performance management.
